While pondering the possibilities this year hold, it's good to remember what God's Word says.
Therefore, I wanted to share some of my favorite scriptures.
Romans 8:1 NKJV — There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Romans 12:1-2 NKJV — I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:9-10 NKJV — Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;
Philippians 4:4-7 NKJV
[4] Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! [5] Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. [6] Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; [7] and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Happy New Year!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word! Thank You for the encouragement and guidance You give. Thank You that Your ways are perfect and Your truth is amazing. Your salvation is life eternal. Lord, with this new year I thank You that You are as much in charge of things as You ever were. Thank You for teaching me how to cling to You and hold everything else lightly. Thank You that You are always good, always righteous, always loving. Thank You that it is Your mercy which stays judgement. Lord, I praise You for all You have done and will do. May Your name be glorified in 2024. Amen
