Joel 2:12-14 – "That is why the Lord says, "Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don't tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead." Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish. Who knows? Perhaps he will give you a reprieve, sending you a blessing…. "
Last week was filled with time alongside family and friends. We all may have had a Christmas dinner and then got to open presents. For most of us, we were excited and happy.
The question is, what did we do after the presents were opened? Many of us fell back in the recliner to watch our favorite sports. For some of us, we actually fell asleep for our Christmas nap. Then what did you do for the rest of the day? Did you spend time loving on others? Did you spend time in thanksgiving and fellowship with Christ?
Yes, these are the days after Christmas. You can't get back Christmas Day. What you can do is start off the best days after your Christmas celebration you have ever had. Do all the things that you may not have taken advantage of after the presents. Take time to be kind to the people that you work with. Call your children and tell them how much you love them. Make up for what you may have neglected.

Today is potentially one of your best days ever for the holidays. It is within the days after Christmas when you still can do all the things that you may not have done on Christmas Day.
Above all, spend some time with Jesus. Praise Him and talk to Him. Read your Bible. For many, this can still be the best Christmas holiday yet. Finally, do just one thing if nothing else: tell someone around you how God has blessed you and how much you love Him.
Stay healthy and have a blessed day!
