‭Luke‬ ‭2:21‬ ‭KJV‬

[21] And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Both Joseph and Mary were told the name God had chosen for His Son. (Matt. 1:21, 25; Luke 1:31)

There are others who were given such instruction upon the naming of their children, but none hold the magnitude of this name

Acts 4:12 NKJV — "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Philippians 2:9-11 NKJV — Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus, Himself taught that He was the only way to the Father and that the disciples should pray in His name.

John 14:6 NKJV — Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 14:12-15 NKJV — "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, keep My commandments."

Jesus.

His name says so much for He is the Savior and the hope for eternal life.

Romans 10:13 NKJV — For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."

Acts 2:38 NKJV — Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word! Thank You for the truth of Your salvation and the hope You give those who put their trust in You. Lord Jesus, in You alone can we be made righteous and cleansed from our sins. In Your sacrifice there is payment for the wrongs we can never redeem. Lord, only in You do we find true peace. Thank You! How great You are! How awesome is Your holy name. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for first loving me. Amen.
