TOPIC: STAND FAST IN FAITH
TEXT: 1CORINTHIANS 16:13
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. KJV
The admonition of Apostle Paul to the church at Corinth is to stand fast in faith. All that the enemy of our souls is doing is to ensure that we are swift off like chaff, and become people who are docile and fruitless in the walk of faith with God. There is need to stand fast in faith. All that we have learned are the many ways to stand and keep standing in faith. As long as you keep receiving God's words, meditate on it, act according to its dictates, you are on the plain to keep growing strong in faith.
Just like Apostle Paul, there must come a time in our lives when we will look back and boldly declare that we have finish our race and kept the faith. And there is a reward from the Lord for every of his children who against all odd are able to keep the banner of faith. Let's read 2Timothy 4:7-8;
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. KJV
There is a crown of righteousness that the Lord has prepared to give to all who fought the good fight of faith and are still on the battle ground, who will come out victorious. We who love his appearing and are living by faith in the hope of his truth. Apostle Paul said God will give him this crown. It's not for him alone or only the Apostles but for all who love his appearing. Hallelujah!
Therefore, its not time to relax but the time to do more. More of study, more of acting on God's word, more of worship unto his name, more of consecration, more of absolute reliance on his will, more of speaking by faith and being yielded to God's spirit per time. It's the season for more of God here on earth and in our lives.
Fasten your seat belt and throw yourself on the wings of God's spirit to empower you to do more. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Thank you, Jesus for the revelation of your words in this month. My heart is ready to put to work all that I have learnt. Help me to lead my life daily in the lenses of your faith without wavering in Jesus' name. Amen
