The RSLPF identified the deceased as Shem Severin. Reports indicate that the vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree. Emergency personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) rushed to the scene with a fire truck and an ambulance after receiving a distress call at around 4:27 am. The responders transported Severin to the OKEU Hospital where a medical practitioner pronounced him dead. The 31-year-old deceased joined the RSLPF in 2013. There are no further details at present.
