| RestoringVoice Jul 29 | Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29 Labor means different things to different people. There are times that my job is laborious and other times that it gives me energy and peace. I think it depends on what I am yoked with in the moment. I recently was reading a devotion from Rick Renner on this topic and then the 2 days following it came up in my Bible reading and another devotion I read. Of course, this generally catches my attention because sometimes I need a bunch of reminders for God to get my attention. I need to pay attention to what I am yoking myself too. If it is not God, then it is not best. I will not find rest in it, if it is not the best. I have been feeling tired and run down. This weekend I just took time to rest. It was good to have little on my schedule for two days. Lord I come to You with my weary and my heavy laden heart and ask for You to give me rest. I take Your yoke on me. I learn from You. I know that You are gentle and lowly heart. Thank You for bringing rest to my soul. In Jesus name amen. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
