Happy Fun hay(na)kuon Friday!
Ok so what's a hay(na)kuon? That's what I said but nothing surprises me anymore!
Most of you know I don't do prompts because for one, I always have something else that I want to share. Secondly, to be completely transparent, I don't think I'm good at following directions or "doing it right". And then there's Mr. Linky which is supposed to be easy but for me, it's another step and I'm always way behind to get it in, like today.
With that said, I do want to try to learn one new form of poetry every couple of months but not ones that make my brain rattle.. .It does enough of that on it's own, thank you very much.
I was inspired when I read some of our friends hay(na)ku's and thought "Ok I'm gonna try it".
Thanks for the encouragement you guys!
Mich's prompt guidelines; the theme of "love lost and found".
I didn't follow the guidelines but I tried my hand at it in honor of Hunter which I was going to post today anyway. It actually does have a feel good moment of love watching him play with the gopher. Let's just say, he ain't no ratter, for better or worse.
Hay(na)ku?
Hay(na)ku is a very simple poetic form and one of the newest. It was inaugurated on the Web on June 12th, 2003 (Philippines Independence Day) by Filipino poet Eileen Tabios (b. 1960).
