Don't get it much these days, rarely a free Sunday to laze, always big, little things I should be doing, but final Sunday of 2023, making an exception, The SF Niners on the early game, intentional, to actually sit and watch, the Fourth Quarter anyway, similar, remembering back when there was less to do, Making pancakes and waffles and bacon for the kids, using my old binder book of recipes, up on the shelf, grandma's "Better Home & Garden Recipes", remembering weekends at my grandparents long ago, more peaceful, slower pace as a kid, All that nostalgia maybe just for times that seemed simpler, and realizing it's more mindset, within reach even today, Just gotta take the old recipe book down from the shelf.
