- What do you wish you weren't so often in close proximity to? Toxic people.
- This past week, what would you have appreciated some advance warning about? (alternate question: What were you grateful to receive advance warning about?) Hoo boy! I'm gonna answer both, because the answer applies to both, in a sense. I mentioned last week that things are getting increasingly tense with my mother-in-law. In short, two of may siblings-in-law stopped speaking to her over the span of a few months, one of which was motivated by an incident at my mom's house on Halloween where she was asked not to kiss my baby niece, didn't listen, and went on a tirade when confronted about it. Everyone was still invited over for Christmas, but they chose not to attend and knew we still were--it's a long, complicated story, but having a kid complicates things. One of my sisters-in-law texted me a long update about where things stand to give us a heads up in case it was mentioned while we were there...except we'd already been over by the time she sent it. It was still appreciated, but it wasn't as much of a true heads-up as it was intended to be.
- What caused you to smile happily today? My son being adorable and hilarious.
- When did you recently give in to a sudden impulse? It's probably easier to ask when I don't.
