- Who last dropped you a line or dropped by? My best friend messaged me a few minutes ago, and aside from lost delivery drivers, the last person to drop by was one of our neighbors around Thanksgiving with pumpkin cheesecake. Having old neighbors who bake is the best.
- How do you feel about raindrops falling on your head? It's a nuisance, but I have naturally curly hair, so it doesn't really matter.
- When did you memorably deliver a mic drop moment? I'll tell you my mom's favorite. When I was about 14, I decided to go vegetarian, which...got some oddly strong reactions from my extended family. And not because I was, like, a militant vegetarian who went preaching to everyone and made a big show of not eating meat, but just because I did it at all. Multiple relatives tried to talk me out of it, which honestly, the older I get, the weirder and shittier that is in hindsight. Anyway! One of the ones against it was my grandfather, my mom's dad. We were in the car one night going somewhere with him, and he was giving me a hard time about it. He was a devout Catholic, so he goes, "God put everything on this earth for us to use," and I said, very matter-of-factly, in my memory, and not at all intending to sound snarky or bitchy, simply replied, "Well, I use the plants." He didn't know what to do with that, and my mom still thinks it's hilarious and tells that story. And I don't really remember him saying much to me about it again, now that I think about it.
- Whom have you recently discovered to be drop-dead gorgeous? I think Olivia Rodrigo is really pretty.
