As we age, our bodies are, bound to, malfunction, here, and there, and there's, nothing we can do about it, but to, FORCE ourselves, to, ADAPT, to these, physical aches, and pains, as it's, a part of the, aging, process, and everybody faces it at one time or another…translated…
My friend's calling out, "I need assistance", in no more than a breath's, time, I'd, rushed over; she was, rummaging through her place, found three full bags of old clothes she no longer wore, wanted me to take it away, to the old clothes recycling boxes.
As I'd heard the clothing recycle box burped out that "I'm full now" burp, I can't help, but complained about how she could, waste, so much money on the clothes. All of these, I got on the sales as the seasons changed. She'd loved those, clothes that fitted her perfectly, and these few years, her body ballooned up horizontally, those pants she'd not worn a long, long time, now, are only, pulled up to, her thighs, and they'd, stopped, budging, the shirts also, could no longer, cover up her, belly that's, growing bigger, she'd originally wanted to, stash all her old clothes up on the shelves, and worked out, to see if she'll, fit in them, again, but, she'd, gained, more and more weight, as she'd, worked really hard, to lose the, weight. "Can't have it all back again!", she'd used, this, classic line from the soap operas.
Can't get our youths back, can't get our original figures, back either, and we'd, forced ourselves, to declutter, to get rid of the old clothes that we used to, love, to get more new ones in, and, even though, we'd, loved our old clothes too much, there's, nothing that we can, do.
the process of life, that NONE of us gets, to escape from...silhouette from online
And, a friend, who'd had spinal surgery just, four years ago, recently told me the exact, same things, "everything leaves a mark, the scars will, always, and forever be, there, after the body gets patched up, it still won't be returned to its, original state, can't go back to the past now." although, the surgeon swore, that the surgery was, a total, success, that all the spurs that compressed against her nerve endings were, completely, removed, her legs still felt very, tightened and, swollen, and it'd, made me started, questioning, if this famed surgeon is, really, that, excellent.
She'd told me, from her own experiences, that from before, she couldn't sit still because of the pains, and now, she'd become, too grateful for being able to, move around, agilely, even though, the side effects from her procedure still come and gone at time, for four whole years since she'd had the surgery, but it was, bearable, it'd not, affected her, daily life. "Trying to get along, peacefully, with those things that, bother us."
And so, we can't get our old bodies back, we can't, get our, health back either, we can only, accept what we'd become, right, now. To past midlife, which one of our medical records wasn't too thick already, whose bodies hadn't gotten sutured up, naturally, we can't have our own, old, physical selves, back again, and, the scars from the surgical procedures, we'd worn them proudly, to show, that we had, once, fought, battled against, our own, lives; while the, smaller aches and pains, they'd, served as that, reminder, for us to, live in the moments, thankfully, I wasn't, numbed yet, instead, I'm still, very, sensitive, that's, a blessing on its, own.
So, this is the process of aging, and it does, take a toll on our, bodies, and no matter how hard we'd, kept up with eating healthy, exercising regularly, what will come, will, come, you simply, can't dodge it, and when it came, it will, send that, shockwave through your systems, but, you can, make sure, that the shocks end right where it'd, ended, to not allow it, to impact you, for the, rest of your, lives, and THAT, is what you will, have the controls, over!
