Maetis The Winter Thief by Jenny White My Father's House by Joseph O'Connor The Girl From Venice by Martin Cruz Smith Euphoria by Lily King Jade Dragon Mountain by Elsa Hart The Aftermath by Rhidian Brook The Anchoress by Robyn Cadwallader Under Occupation by Alan Furst The Princess, The King and The Anarchist by Robert Pagani Skeletons at the Feast by Chris Bohjalian The Sandcastle Girls by Chris Bohjalian Reading 17 books for the challenge put me in the "Medieval" level of participation, which sounds pretty good to me. Next year instead of mostly reading stuff set in mid-20th century Europe I'd like to spread things out a bit by reading more novels set in other eras of history and different parts of the globe. If possible I'd like to continue reading books translated from other languages and by writers from outside the United States. It's a fun reading challenge and I can't wait to read more books in 2024.
