Well, I did it! I worked out almost every day in November. I only missed 3 days, because I was sick or in too much pain. But I did box and some sort of strength training.
Honestly, I don't see a big difference, but I know I need to up my workouts, add cardio and be stricter with my diet. But at least I know now that I can constantly work out. I feel like I'm getting stronger though. I started with 5lbs and now I'm up to 8lbs. Which sucks because 2 years ago I was doing 20-25lbs. But with the car accident and the antidepressants, I've had to start from scratch. But little by little I'll get back to those weights.
Boxing to me has become something I need to do every day. It's weird, if I don't box, I feel like off. I even a few times would get out of bed, get dressed and do a 10-15 minuet boxing video. I'm hoping in a couple more weeks I can move up from beginner. I do however enjoy the sparring and the music ones. The most I've done is 30 minutes boxing. Holy crap was that a lot! I was so sweaty after! But I enjoy it, so that's a plus. It also helps get my frustration and depression out, at least just a little bit. I remember a few times I was hitting the machine and I hit it too hard. Another time I started crying while boxing. That was an interesting one. I was upset and sad and just went and boxed for a bit. And I had a somewhat of a 'release' and just leaned forward and started to cry. Weird I know!
Anyway, I also have been doing a lot of YouTube videos. I have found a few people who I love their videos. I started following 'FitbyMik' & 'MadFit'. I like their videos because they have some that is all standing. And they are anywhere from 15-45 minutes long. The other week I did a 30-minute full body workout. It was definitely a struggle to get through, but I did it! I've been proud of myself for once in a very LONG time! It feels good. Even if there is no real difference on the scale.
I've also found that instagram & tiktok are good sources for workout ideas. And they 'target' certain body parts. Which is always nice! All I've been doing is going on YouTube and social media to find good workouts for beginners. Oh, and plus size yoga! Which is good! I've done a few of those videos. Very hard but it definitely stretches you. I've also used the Pilates bar a few times and found a 15min and 20min workout to use it with. Hurt but effective!
Let's talk about next month. December, last month of the year. The end of 2023. The end of another crappy year. I mean not all crappy but a good amount of it was. But my goals, lets see, still work out every day, close those rings! Up my workouts, get up at 5am to do a workout, add in some cardio (either walk or go to the community center in town). Get better at my food choices, meal prep better, add in more veggies, drink more water and read more. I miss reading, it has always been there to save me and keep my mind occupied. Maybe even write more.
I want to see a bigger difference in my body and on the scale in December. I want to go into 2024 with less lbs, among other things.
Wish me luck!
