The Scent of Hay that Won't Get Burnt Up

How it, took you back, to a place you called, "home" once, long, long, ago…translated…

Yes, the scent of hay burning, did you, ever, smell it?  That's about to (or maybe already had), vanish, in the memories of the eras and time.  I'd loved it so, don't know how long ago was it, as I was driving down Freeway 1, came that, familiar, scent, I'd told it to my second eldest sister, she too, loved the smell as well.  I'd, subconsciously, taken a few breaths in, wanted to, get this scent, deep into, my lung's, memories, no matter how the scent can be, many people's, nightmares.

Scent is a key, that opens up the depth in our memories, a treasure chest that we don't even know, existed.

The hay after getting scorched, you can smell the stems, there's, that scent of the sun baking it.  I'd felt, overjoyed, that this was, the scent of, the harvest.  The scent of the soil, of the green grass, how the bugs, became the nutrients for the soils, in the scent of the smoke came, the rice, cooking.

Like I was, walking on the tracks within the rice paddies home, how come, the scent of burnt hay and the scent of burnt fish smelled, exactly, the, same?  In the rising of the white smokes, there's the busy bodies in and out of the kitchen.  I'd, hastened my pace.  Returned back to the old-style mansion, a row of hibiscus was by the side, I'd, picked a hug red flower, and started, sucking the nectar from it…………

After I'd left the old style mansion where I once lived, under someone else's charges, in the new world, was, a mixture, of, smells………

So, in my memories, I'd, kept the burnt hay so deeply, the sweetness of the lantern flower (that was what I'd called it then), the best is natural and sweet, I'd kept in my mind, the scent, of, coming, home again.

What led us home, passing that twisting and turning narrow path, was the scent that's, buried, deep inside, the, memories…………

So, this is what, led you, home again, following that scent, in the now, it'd, awakened the past for you, brought back the memories, and that, is how magical the sensory inputs are, you can, remember everything you'd, forgotten, upon coming into contact with, a sensory, input randomly.
