Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25
to the utmost - I looked at the Greek word Strongs G3838 παντελής pantelēs And to the utmost means all complete, perfect, unto completeness, completely perfectly, utterly
saved - Strongs G4982 σῴζω sōzō To save in the technical biblical sense; deliver from the penalties of the Messianic judgment
That is so reassuring to know God can completely save anyone who comes to him through Christ. My mind immediately goes back to a Church leader who told a teenager that he was too far gone. The young man cried in my car as we left church, and my heart was broken for him. Although I tried to reassure him, I wish of this passage had been in my memory to share with him that that church leader was wrong.
I still pray for him as his farther down the path of destruction ten years later than he was as a wayward teenager. He was just looking to belong as he sat in my car. I wonder how his life might have been different if he knew God could save him. I pray even now that God will reveal to him the scripture. That this truth would become real in his life and save him to the uttermost. Jesus is still making intercession and I believe that he can draw him to God even now. He will never be too far gone.
Lord, I bring J to you right now, and every man and woman that is in a similar situation. Holy Spirit even now minister to them. Lord bring them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Your Word says that You are not willing that any should perish but that all would come to the saving knowledge of Christ. I planted seeds. I am asking for the harvest in J's life that he will be the man that You created him to be. I pray that he will live and not die. I pray that he would be saved to the uttermost and that he would bring glory and honor to Your name for Your kingdom. Even now Lord, I pray in Jesus name amen.
