TOPIC: LIVING THE LIFE OF FAITH I
TEXT: GALATIANS 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. KJV
I welcome you to the last month in year 2023. It has been a year full of many wonders; some are palatable, while others had stretch your faith and mine. However, in all, God remain faithful and a strong tower. He is our present help in trouble. All praise and honour to his name, both now and ever. Amen
Last month, we laid the foundation of faith as a continuation of the study from the month of October, where we learnt on the hope of the gospel. Again, allow me to remind you of this text, which gave the knowledge of the three most powerful element that connotes spiritual force. Please read with me; And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. 1Corinthians 13:13 KJV
Though, the greatest of these spiritual forces is Love, however faith and hope are on the same pedestal. These three invisible natures of God, are clearly spelt out in the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. My intention is to stir up our pure heart after the revelation of God's words, to bring us to the point where our faith is strengthened, our hope is kept alive and we eventually become saturated in God's love again and again.
Haven started out with the basis of our faith last month and by God's help, I was able to convince our sincere heart in the Lord that our faith only finds expression in God, the Father, his Son Jesus Christ and the power and abiding presence of his Spirit. Without which all else is but a lie. This month, we will continue but on a progressive lane to learn of how our faith in salvation eventually becomes the very fabrics that we are to live by daily. Just as Apostle Paul declared in Galatians 2:20; that the life he live, he live by the faith of the son of God, who loved him and gave himself for him.
This declaration is true for every child of God. Whether we truly recognise this or not. We live by the faith of the son of God each day of our born-again life. Spiritually and physically, we no longer live by our strength and capacity. We are changed men and women, whose life is upheld by the faith of the son of God. Can I ask you to give attention to the truth that you are living by faith? and there are many things that you must recognise as you walk with the Lord. Come on board with me as the Lord is ready and willing to open the eyes of our understanding this month and beyond.
PRAYER
Thank you, Father, for a new month, which mark the end of this year. I am grateful for life, for health, for peace, for joy, for answered prayers and even unanswered ones because I know that my life is of faith and of hope in you. Therefore, as it is written, all things work together for the good of them that love you and are called according to your purpose. I am not disadvantage because I have you on my side in Jesus' name. Amen
