The key

I was here, in front of the door that was closed. It had been years since no one knocked on it. A bunch of keys in my hands that were with me , kept in the cupboard for I don't know how long. I heard someone say it's high time you opened it , it has been so long, you will understand what you have left behind. Today after giving it a thought I was just there with the keys in my hand but forgot which one was it that I had locked it with. I kept trying to open the lock but none of the keys did fit, it took a while and At one point I thought to give up. Maybe it was the wrong bunch of keys that I had bought. I went back to come another day. I realised this door needed to open because it really had been very long. I sat down to think about where I could have placed the other bunch of keys. After sometime I remembered and found them in a corner of my cupboard. The next day I went back and this time the key I took out first opened the lock. There I was with the door open that made me see what was inside and brought back memories of all that had been here and all I went through. Some happy moments , some not so good but everything came back to me. Today I was a bit relaxed as now I could clear up the mess, declutter and reorganise everything that was there. It took me a few days but the house was back again, fresh and new, it really needed patience and hardwork to bring it to life.
At times a wrong bunch of keys comes into our hands which locks everything for us. This group of people do no harm but fo no good either and they are just there to just feel like locking yourself up , you hate being looked at, being judged and when you cannot cope with it you shut all doors in your life, losing hope and trust in people. Till one day someone just becomes the right key to your heart. This person gives you all that you longed for and first so perfectly in your life that you are happy to open the door once again to let this person in and declutter and discard what was creating a mess in your mind. The perfect connection with the perfect person who by just being there makes life livable. People around us are like keys , some fit in right away, some need time for you to understand whether they are needed in your life. Some unlock so much in your life and some just be there , lying in some corner of your life , neither being help, nor support, just there. It might take time but one day you will find the right key which opens the door for you.
