Well, here comes the holidays. Things have changed a ton since last year and in the last handful of years. Instead of focusing on the bad, which everyone loves to do, let me focus on the good.
I am thankful for the roof over my head. It is officially 1 year since I bought my condo. It is very wonderful to have my own space and my own place to call my own. I am starting to come out of my shell (like I was really in a shell - ha) and I am meeting more neighbors. It was a bit difficult because most people are renters and have disappeared so knowing the homeowners here took some more time.
I am thankful for the wonderful and loving people in my life. I am gaining more life experience points, for sure. I believe there are good people out there still and I am excited for what the new chapter of my life brings me.
I am thankful that I have food on the table and I do love leftovers too. No joke. The best is when I don't need to think about what to cook and leftovers means fewer dishes lol.
I am thankful for the opportunities of self care such as my monthly facials to my zen yoga classes to the monthly sound baths that are offered.
I was stretching the other night and I drew a card that said, "The Universe has your Back." This is very true. Of course, I just looked it up on Google and here's the meaning: The practice of trusting that the Universe has your back (no matter what) is the greatest gift you can give yourself. It's all about living in certainty. It's about being in a place where, regardless of what's happening around you, you can trust.
When one door closes, another one opens.
I am also thankful that 2023 is ending. There will be a wrap up in a few weeks on looking back on what I have learned. I can't say I know right now because I need to review what has happened.
So here we go. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Thank you for staying with me since the COVID years. I will have more updates on dating and some challenges that have been set up with a couple of my friends. this is all fun & games so those are a couple future topics.
XOXO
