We are living in a day when offense and personal opinions tend to hold people captive rather than biblical truth and honest evaluation. Once these destructive things are released into the atmosphere, they pretty much run the show. Emotional content, rather than the voice of God, often determines the direction and tone of how things go. Unless you are one who has a deeply intimate life of prayer, it is nearly impossible for you to know where your offense and frustration begins, and where the voice of God has ended. That, my friends, is a very dangers and deadly place to be.
This is why James 5:9 says; "Do not complain, brethren, against one another, so that you yourselves may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing right at the door." When your opinion is spoken into someone's life, as if it were the voice of God, you have just set yourself in God's place as both judge and jury. Think of it, if a soul that God loves is being criticized, complained against or accused, what do you suppose He thinks about that? Perhaps it would be better to examine yourself, and see if you are actually walking in the faith you claim to be upholding. Let's face it, there is a lot we all have to learn when it comes to these things ruling our lives. Biblical wisdom simply says"", "just don't go there".
Today's Word: Let your communication with others be soaked in prayer and ruled by love. No one needs your opinion, but they do need to hear His voice.
