Stand Still And See; The Chain Is Broken A The Promise Is Yours
Exodus 14:13-14 AMPC
Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.
Genesis 6:9 NIVUK
This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.
The world seems to be in perpetual chaos. It appears that violence and corruption are more common, while peace and love are in short supply. Noah lived in a time very much like our own now. There was growing godlessness and corruption. However, God had a plan to redeem and rescue. He'd use unlikely people and an unlikely situation to continue his plan of rescue. Just as easy as it is for us to get drawn into a sinful lifestyle, Noah was exposed in the same way; yet he did not get caught up in the behaviors of the day. Noah found grace in the sight of God.
It is tough to live in a generation as ours when every moral root is been tested and broken. I walk out and see ladies grown and young now carefree about modesty. At the same time I'm seeing more irresponsible men folk whose only interest is their personal satisfaction than being covers for the women they are connected with. Some time back had a conversation in a public vehicle with a young lady who said and I quote all I want is to run a package with you as I see you're strong and your boela can handle me. The shock was so visibly obvious she laughed hard. She first said I'm just teasing and joking.

She then asked to get my number and I told myself this is what you are to avoid as tempting as it may be. She then said to me seriously if I ever need I should holla and dragged my phone added her digits and called herself. I guess it was the shock but, I remembered a statement that the first is the truth and the second statement is a cover up for the first. I was reminded too that we are first spirits before being physical beings. I also wondered what legion she carried and was so willing to share? The temptation was very high and traffic delayed my escape route. I'm used to doing all the talking but she engaged hard and she was also intelligent. I remembered a ministry tool I used to use and quickly picked it and made the attempt to minister while fighting temptation.
To the praise of His glorious name she responded and this cork sure lady suddenly broke down and cried. She actually picked the cross and I led her to Christ. That was my hardest ever evangelism journey but I was reminded that I should never feel I have conquered but daily place myself in the loving care and arm of my Lord and savior. I tell this story because I was buffetted with shame of the temptation until recently when I read that Satan won't tempted you with what you're strong with but what is a weakness in you. But the Holy Writ tells me when I am weakest that's when I'm at my strongest! So never try to do the battle in your strength but place yourself in the loving trusted arms of Jesus.
Someone today is fighting temptation and a return to the old ways. Hold and believe God makes a way even when you can't see one. Another is trying to stay faithful to an unfaithful man but know that if you do this you will get caught and the deliverance of your spouse would be lost. Eternity will hold you responsible so just stand still and watch the redemption. It's not your battle and know the battle is over. One other I am hearing need to fumigate their home spiritually and stop that demon coming into their home, drawing a blood line at your enterances keeps such demons out in the mighty name of Jesus. Do this quickly and watch that spouse break down and change in Jesus mighty name. God designed us to help each other make heaven pursue this firmly. Noah pursued this and his family was delivered. Can you beat the fact that depression still set in and he drank to a stupor. His redemption was his by obedience. Your obedience releases the blessing today in Jesus name Amen! The chaos won't consume you just trust our maker and defender ok!ShalomRELATIONSHIPDEVOTIONALDAILY©2023#AfricaNeedsAFather#AfricanFatherhoodnetwork#ResponsibleFatherHood #50GratefulYears
