In Uxbridge and Douglas they are,
So close and yet so far...
Habits remain
From when they slept in the same
Bed for years at the start.
-
Married thirty-four years,
Nighttime similarities appear...
Both wake around two---
She's nothing to do---
But to go back to sleep in her tears.
-
He wakes and often arises,
Sits down to blog--no surprises---
They'd arise early
When her pain worried
She'd be in her chair as the sun rises.
-
Miles apart they are,
But timing similar...
Govern their ways
From happier days,
Together but oh so far!
