Scripture - For now we are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ, and we who have been baptized into union with Christ are enveloped by him. We are no longer Jews or Greeks or slaves or free men or even merely men or women, but we are all the same—we are Christians; we are one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26-28
Thoughts about what Scripture means - I am a son (daughter) of God and one in Christ with other believers.
Application to my life - We are one, the Church is suppose to be united as one in Christ. As children, we are one in Christ. If this is true, why do we split ourselves and have so much division in the church? We say individually we are children of God. There are a few denominations that are very much "us" and "them" either because they are differing in their beliefs, the main beliefs held by the church or because they believe exclusively that are God's chosen. We have to come together in unity and serve as God created us.
Response back to God - Lord, help me speak words that unite as we are One in Christ. Give me actions and help me be obedient to build up Your body.
