Malgré les risques que les décideurs informatiques perçoivent, ils restent confiants. Kyndryl n'hésite pas à évoquer un excès de confiance !

88 % des décideurs interrogés par Kyndryl dans le cadre de son 2023 state of IT risk : How companies are charting paths to cyber resilience s'accordent à dire que leur organisation est bien préparée pour gérer et rependre les opérations à la suite d'événements défavorable, d'attaques ou de compromissions qui perturbe les actifs informatiques de leur organisation. A priori, c'est rassurant.

Lorsqu'on leur demande de se situer par rapport à leurs pairs, 65 % des répondants estiment que leur organisation est mieux préparée que les autres organisations à faire face à des événements indésirables. Seuls 8 % d'entre eux se considèrent moins bien préparés. Ce niveau élevé de confiance a particulièrement attiré l'attention de Kyndryl étant donné que 92 % des répondants indiquent également que leur organisation a connu des événements indésirables. Cette dualité est pour le moins surprenante, si ce n'est une raison de s'interroger sur le bien-fondé d'une telle confiance.

Cybersécurités et pannes

En ce qui concerne les types d'événements perturbateurs, 71 % des personnes interrogées déclarent avoir subi un événement lié à la cybersécurité et 88 % déclarent avoir subi d'autres événements défavorables, notamment des pannes de matériel informatique, des pannes de réseau informatique et des pannes de datacenters.

Par ailleurs, 35 % des personnes interrogées déclarent que la réputation de leur entreprise a été ternie à la suite de perturbations informatiques.

Parmi les trois principaux défis à relever pour atténuer les risques, on trouve : le manque de capacité à récupérer les systèmes et les données à partir d'une sauvegarde cryptée et propre, l'expansion de l'empreinte informatique et la capacité à se tenir au courant des nouvelles menaces. Le manque de ressources informatiques qualifiées arrive en quatrième position.
