Message From the Band:

"Get Your Head Right' is a transitional recording in a lot of ways—our founding guitarist took on a new project before we released our full-length, 'Mile High Downer Rock.' We had been talking to Nathan of Alamo Black about maybe starting a side project and luckily he volunteered to join Burning Sister. This EP features a couple of leftover tunes—"Fadeout" and "Barbiturate Lizard"—that we had been playing live and were eager to record. We'd also been attempting to put our own spin on Mudhoney's "When Tomorrow Hits" for quite awhile, and with Nathan on board, our version finally clicked. We started jamming immediately and the rest of what's on the EP developed quickly from that collaboration. What came out of our work is a grittier rock 'n' roll album that still leans into the heavy psych and acid rock that we dig."

- Steve, Burning Sister

More About the Album

It's been an amazing journey over the past three years, watching the band slowly evolve and refine their sound. The difference in both sound and confidence between 2020's Burning Sister EP and today's Get Your Head Right is immediately apparent to anyone who pays attention to the music they listen to.

While the band still have the same core heart and essence, their sound has become grittier, noisier and more fuzz-laden than ever before. Wjile noise rock has always been an influence on the band's music, it has become more noticibly prominent in the mix. That isn't to say that this evolution comes at the expense of fuzz or groove, as both are still very much present.

So take some time, take what you need to be in the right state of mind and then blow your eardrums with Burning Sister's Get Your Head Right!
