I probably learned a lot from this painting, but it will be a while before I know WHAT I learned. It's the first time I've done a painting that I felt afraid of fucking it up, didn't know what I was doing, didn't know how to do something, or cared. Very very strange. What started out to be a cool experiment with my newly-made Rawlins Red oil paint turned out to be a whole lot of other things. I'm happy with the bunny, the hills, Truffle (brown dog) and the sky. Thanks for all the moral support as I worked through this!!! ALL the colors in this painting are natural pigments except the woman's shirt, bandana, socks and the white which is titanium white.
