Stand Still And See; The Mourning Is Over

Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.
Exodus 14:13‭-‬14 AMPC

Was awakened to the passage of the day and spent time dwelling on it. So many things are worrying a person yet God said the mourning is over. I reminded myself it was not my business to worry if I truly put it at the foot of the cross for Jesus to handle. Alas a human has so many failings but we are saved by grace alone. So as I read and pondered was struck by the sequence that the message came. First was fret not or fear not! Next was stand still. Which was followed quickly by seeing! You see ehen I'm a Nigerian and probably a decendant of Thomas hehehe! Seeing has always being the key to believing for most us Nigerian. In fact we are forced to see falsehood and believe it's alright.

Yet this sequence is about salvation folk! Let's look at the word Salvation some ok!

In fact Moses was speaking of liberation. Going into October one wonders where this liberation is coming from as we see forward supposedly good moves to fix the system then fretting away the goodwill with near say idiocy!(Pardon my french)!

Yet the message of Moses was clear fret not and stand still so you see this salvation. He went us to tell us the Egyptians we see today we shall not see again! In fact God fights for us so we should hold our peace and stand still to see this salvation. There is something about seeing you know! God decided to recreate or refurbish the earth and He called forth then saw. But I do believe sin has so blinded us that we need to see before we accept the word. So the question now is what are the Egyptians we see today? Egyptians here Mitsrayim which mean Egyptians = " double straits". It comes from a root word mâtsôr mâtsûr

This means to besiege or shut it. So what is that situation that shuts you in today? Is it a philandering husband who struggles to keep it in his Jon's? Is it the sky rocketing finances set off by the post COVID era? What ever that problem is name it that Egyptian you see no more. So as we close to the end of September and God had said the Mourning is over and indeed joy cometh then how do we respond. Will we stand still to see or keep running in cycles ending up broken and wanting salvation. Indeed the word Salvation takes a deeper meaning for me this morning as I have always just zeroed it to the work of Jesus to save humanity. Now I see it as God's sum total plan to save humanity as a whole. I see that God planned for us all to be saved. May God help each of us to finish well.
