You don't need to be a pastor's wife to appreciate this encouraging memoir. Pastor's wives are people with the same spiritual questions and problems we all face if we are striving to become better Christians. Leading a faithful life (whether you are a pastor or a layperson) will make you seem different to many of the people you meet.
Using her own life experiences Ms. Stiller delves into some important topics -- doubt, community, marriage, envy, forgiveness, holiness and more. Some stories will make you laugh, and others will bring tears; all are genuine and relatable. While some of her challenges are unique to pastors and their wives, most are just about true life, Christian life. We are all called to be witnesses in the world around us. We are all called to follow Jesus. This isn't always easy.
I read this book in one day -- Karen Stiller's honesty captured my heart in a way that is rare.
VERDICT: 5 STARS.
