Blessings of Vulnerabilities

The reason we are humans and not God is because we are vulnerable. We are limited. We are finite. We are imperfect.

To be God is boring. I mean to have everything, to be perfect, to be without vulnerabilities, to be flawless. There's nothing to strive towards, nothing to achieve, and no odds to overcome. And more, you can't submit to anything.

The biggest blessing for a human is vulnerability. To be vulnerable is to be powerful. It means you can make something out of yourself, for yourself, for others, and for the good of the world. It means you are a being, created and creating, making better out of something good.

It might be perceived as a burden, and it is. Any responsibility is a burden, and vulnerabilities are responsibilities, and human beings, even in their best aspirations, are lazy. They always find a way to dodge responsibility. They want the easiest way out.

Alternatively, vulnerabilities are our similarities. We are full of shit and we all know it. We may pretend to be otherwise but deep down we remain to be moulds of dirty clay made into nerves, bones and covered with flesh. When we look at each other we see our wretchedness, and the much we do to cover it up.

What vulnerabilities do is show us that we need each other. We are one, facing the same odds, fighting the same battle, and on the same side. We are not against each other though we've made a great deal out of it; we seem to thrive much when we are divided than when we unite. And the world is always a hellish place because of our stupid and artificial divisions.

Whenever you fart, remember another human fart too. and it's the same filth you relive yourself from that they relive themselves from. Your fart is not as special as you want to imagine. Your fart stinks just like mine does and just like your neighbor's does. Isn't that enough to make you smile at your neighbor instead of frowning at them? Isn't that enough to make you hold a stranger's hand when they are lost? Isn't that enough to make you give a morsel to the hungry beggar instead of throwing your 'leftovers' away?

Vulnerabilities are our strength. They are what we need to make the world a paradise. They are what we have to shape us into better human beings and leave the world a better place than we found it.
