In the city of Indore, there is a Hindi newspaper that does not print any negative news on Mondays, but if there is an extremely important development, it is printed.
This unique practice is orchestrated with the intention of cultivating a positive atmosphere within its pages, dedicating at least one day each week to such a pursuit.
We are always engaged in myriad activities, but amid all this, due to the nuances of habituation, necessity, and even indulgence, we find ourselves occasionally entangled in actions contrary to our intention and better judgment. Many times, we do it unknowingly. That's why we are often apprehensive of possible missteps or mishaps. These thoughts keep bothering us.
At its core, our inherent goodness seeks to endure, yet the intricate interplay of circumstances occasionally thwarts this intention.
So the fact remains that we cannot avoid negative thoughts and pessimistic ideations. Upon the commencement of our day, whether we put on the television, peruse social media, or delve into the pages of newspapers, we are confronted with a barrage of such unfavorable narratives. It is for this very reason that I consciously avoid them during the morning hours.
I do it, because I have to keep abreast with what's happening around me, but in the afternoon. Any negative news or adverse thoughts during the early hours tends to linger incessantly throughout the course of the day. It's not conducive to a state happiness, as it engenders a lot of negativities.
Starting our day with morning walk, exercise, gratitude, meditation, yoga and appreciating the beauty around us, can set a wonderful tone for the positive hours ahead. Embracing a positive mindset from the moment we wake up, can enhance our overall well-being and productivity.
When we infuse our morning routine with optimism and positivity, we're more likely to tackle challenges with resilience and approach interactions with enthusiasm. This ripple effect of positivity can lead to a fulfilling and successful day.
But sometime somewhere, an initiative has to be taken, and once this happens, the wheel of change will start turning, because every great achievement starts with a single initiative.
Drawing inspiration from the initiative taken by the aforementioned Hindi newspaper, we may also designate a specific day in a week to focus our attention to virtuous matters, benevolent actions and positive conversations with our kin and companions, to the extent feasible.
If one frequents digital social platforms, the dissemination of positive and praiseworthy contents should become our endeavor.
This one day will serve as the foundational bedrock upon which the ensuing days of the week may also flourish.
