Neeraj Chopra: India's first athlete gold medal winner
India's Neeraj Chopra has clinched the gold medal in the men's javelin throw event at the World Athletics Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.
In a historic moment for Indian athletics, Neeraj Chopra recorded his name in history by becoming the first-ever Indian athlete to secure a gold medal at this prestigious championship.
He displayed exceptional game with record of a stellar throw of 88.17 meters during his second attempt, solidifying his dominance throughout the event.
The outstanding performance at the World Athletics Championships established him as a trailblazer for Indian sports on the global stage.
World Athletics Championships:
Arshad Nadeem, Javelin Thrower from Pakistan achieved a silver medal with commendable throw of 87.82 meters.
The third spot has been secured by Czech Republics' Jakub Vadlejch with his best throw of 86.67 meters.
Neeraj won his second medal at the championship as he had secured silver medal previous championship.
