A piano with ties to John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Sam Green and Andy Warhol is going up for auction in Baltimore. The piano was once a lost piece of music history and has since been found and is going up for auction in September.

The piano was named for its ties to John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Sam Green and Andy Warhol. Bidding will start at $1 million and is predicted to go for $2 - $3 million.
The Piano was purchased by Beatles member John Lennon and gifted to an art curator, Sam Green the year before Lennon's death in 1978. Green then loaned it to his friend Andy Warhol for a few years who then loaned it to The New York Academy of Art. The piano was wrongfully sold to a man in Alabama who was unaware of the unique history. After being sold and moved a few more times the piano was found and appraised in 2022.
Because Lennon's life was tragically cut short, 'this item's direct ties to his musical creation makes it even more collectible and valuable.'

Online bidding will start on September 15 and the live auction in Baltimore County will take place about two weeks later.
