Daily writing prompt
What are you curious about?
As children, we are curious about everything under the sun. Probably that's how we learnt most of our life skills. Especially not to touch a burning candle, no matter how enchanting the burning flames look. I was a curious child. I have annoyed my cousins and parents with questions. There were days I was asked to "JUST SHUT UP!". Back then, I felt like it was wrong to ask questions to adults. But what can a 5-year-old do rather than ask questions to the ones she knows as the all-knowing figures?
As an adult in her late twenties, I realise how annoying curious questions can become. I cannot blame my cousins now, can I? It's not like we want to scare kids by yelling; it's just that most of the time, we are exhausted from work or totally fed up with life; that's it; life happened, kid.
As an adult, I am curious about some beautiful minds. The way their brain works. How do they develop an artistic piece while fighting their inner demons? I can't even get up from my bed if I feel low. I say to myself, "Channel your sadness to art." I whisper, shouts and tell gently, but it doesn't work.
To all the beautiful artists out there. You are amazing. Your works are marvellous. I am curious about the way you change your ideas to concepts that take physical forms. You are nothing less than superhumans. Keep doing this and let others' curiosity take wild turns.
