Biofuel – It is a fuel, which is produced in a short time from biomass and is preferable to the slow natural procedure that is involved in the formation of fossil fuels such as oil. Biofuel may be produced from domestic or industrial or agricultural biowaste and plants. Biofuels are mainly used for transportation but it can also use in producing electricity and heating. It is produced in a short time in either liquid or gaseous form. Biofuels are renewable, sustainable, environment-friendly, and biodegradable.
Uses of biofuels – There are several uses of biofuels are discussed below –
- Transport – Biofuels such as biodiesel and bioethanol can use as an additive or substitute to traditional sources of fuel for vehicles like buses, and cars. Thus, biofuel is also used in fulfilling the demands of transportation in metropolitan or big cities.
- Aviation – Biofuel is also used in jet engines to increase their environmental credentials or friendly to reduce pollution.
- Produce energy – Biofuel is used in producing power and energy in the backup systems in which emissions matter the most that include hospitals, schools, and many others located in residential areas.
- Environment friendly – Biofuel is also used in cleaning up oil or grease and is known for being environment friendly.
- Cooking – Biofuel is also used in cooking the food
- Reducing the dependence on crude oil – Biofuel is used in lowering the dependence on crude oil and also encourages a green environment which is good for your health.
