Debut Album "Krötch Splitter" Out July 28th
Canada's Hooker Spit has a unique innate competency to ingeniously present music in multiple styles of metal, all while maintaining a consistent brand, one of the factors that make this band one to keep an eye out for. With big dreams and plenty of energy to spare, Hooker Spit hopes to tour the world, bringing aggressive death metal to people from all walks of life. Their debut album "Krötch Splitter" paints a dark picture through blast beats and gutturals and the lyrical content brings raw emotion, desperation, and depths of depravity contained within the human experience. The band comments:
"We are thrilled to be launching our debut album "Krötch Splitter". This album was a collective effort of the band to create something special for ourselves as well as you guys. Drawing from multiple metal genres such as death, thrash, and groove, we have created a sound we feel is unique and we hope others will enjoy. The concept of the album is a wide breadth of the human experience; from the highest heights to the darkest lows. There are songs that deal with self-actualization alongside others that depict cannibalism. We understand that life is a spectrum and tried our best to represent that while creating a dark ambience with our music."
"Krötch Splitter" is seven carefully selected tracks that contain a barrage of metal elements, fast riffs, heart-pounding drums, and intense vocals. The band believes that these songs best represent the vibe they are going for and those who enjoy it can expect a lot more music in the future.
This summer, Hooker Spit will be supporting the release of the album with a Western Candian Tour with Raising the Ruins and Augurium along with appearances at Loud As Hell Fest (Drumheller, AB, August 4-6) and Grover Fest (Stirlingville, AB, August 12).
The album was produced and engineered by Hooker Spit guitarist Vlad Gligor, along with Levi Jones, and Brad Choquette; mixed and mastered by Develop Device Studios, and the album artwork was done by PaleaRaptor. They are recommended listening for fans of The Black Dahlia Murder, Blood Bath, and Carcass.
