"Six Months After All Life on Titan Died," by J.B. Park

I was baffled by most of this story but I think I understand the core: A tragedy has occurred and its only impact is to make for good entertainment. "We discovered sentient life and proceeded to wipe it out in the span of two days." I didn't catch on when I first listened that this was written as a mock-writing prompt for an artificial intelligence.
Not directly related, but the author offers the following advice to writers: "I wish I'd written more. I hope whoever reads this and is in a position where they'd take advice from someone like me takes it to heart: write more, and write now." Well...I'll give it a try.
