Agrifood, AI-Matters, TEF-Health et CitCom.ai. L'Union européenne déploie quatre TEF (Testing & Experimentation Facility) pour tester et expérimenter des IA avant leur mise sur le marché.
220 millions d'euros pour créer quatre TEF, autant de sites de référence spécialisés à grande échelle ouverts à tous les fournisseurs de technologies à travers l'Europe pour tester et expérimenter solutions d'IA de pointe, y compris des produits et services à la fois souples et matériels, par exemple des robots, dans des environnements réels.
Ces installations de test et d'expérimentation de référence à grande échelle offriront une combinaison d'installations physiques et virtuelles, dans lesquelles les fournisseurs de technologie vont pouvoir obtenir de l'aide pour tester leurs dernières technologies logicielles et matérielles basées sur l'IA dans des environnements réels. Cela comprendra le soutien à l'intégration complète, aux essais et à l'expérimentation des dernières technologies basées sur l'IA pour résoudre les problèmes/améliorer les solutions dans un secteur d'application donné, y compris la validation et la démonstration.

Les TEF seront un élément important de la construction de l'écosystème del'IA d'excellence et de confianceEN••• pour soutenir le leadership stratégique de l'Europe dans le domaine de l'IA.
Quatre projets TEF agrifoodTEF (agroalimentaire), TEF Health (soins de santé), AI-MATTERS (fabrication) et Citcom.AI (villes et communautés intelligentes). Le cofinancement entre la Commission européenne (par le biais du programme pour une Europe numérique) et les États membres soutiendra les TEF pendant cinq ans, avec des budgets compris entre 40 et 60 millions EUR par projet. Le 27 juin, la Commission européenne, ainsi que les États membres et 128 partenaires de la recherche, de l'industrie et d'organisations publiques, ont lancé leur investissement dans les quatre projets.
Citcom.AI, aider les villes et communautés
Le dernier TEF, Citcom.AI, qui intéresse tout particulièrement la Belgique et le Luxembourg, aidera les villes et communautés européennes dans la transition vers une Europe plus verte et plus numérique, également dans le maintien et le développement de leur résilience et de leur compétitivité.
CitCom.ai se concentre sur trois thèmes généraux. Un : l'énergie pour changer les systèmes énergétiques et réduire la consommation d'énergie. On pense ici aux prévisions de charge locale pour le chauffage urbain. Egalement à des solutions environnementales telles que l'éclairage urbain adaptatif. Deux, la mobilité. Et de travailler sur des algorithmes urbains d'apprentissage automatique tels que la prédiction du flux piétonnier, l'intersection intelligente permettant d'identifier les problèmes de sécurité routière ou l'électromobilité et la conduite autonome. Trois : la connectivité, à travers les infrastructures. Et de travailler sur la pollution, émissions de gaz à effet de serre et gestion du bruit, gestion du développement urbain, gestion de l'eau et des déchets d'eau, gestion intégrée des installations, gestion des livraisons par drones et gestion du tourisme.
Le consortium de 36 partenaires est coordonné par l'Université technique du Danemark. Cofinancé par le programme pour une Europe numérique, le projet quinquennal a débuté avec un budget global de 40 millions EUR et devrait atteindre la viabilité financière à long terme.
