Deuteronomy 5:3 (NIV) Moses reminded the Israelites that the covenant made with their ancestors still applied to them. However, they were disobedient and lost faith in God. Through Christ He made a new covenant. "It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord." Hebrews 8:9 (NIV). How grateful are we that God gave us another chance to have an eternal relationship with Him? _________________________________________________ Juel A.
