Daily writing prompt
If you could bring back one dinosaur, which one would it be?
A hundred years ago, dinosaurs didn't exist. Go back to a thousand years; it still didn't exist. Sixty six million years ago, it ruled the earth. First human ancestors didn't live on land. They hid from dominant species like this. If homo species had evolved and had their hunter-gatherer skills developed by then, I guess they would have wiped these species off even before this catastrophic event. One or two of the dinosaurs would have been protected in the main zoos at present. Special acts would have been enacted to protect the rights.
In another scenario, dinosaurs would be declared endangered. There would be parks where they might be sedated and taken photographs with. Human activists might protest against it. There might be poachers after them even if they survived. They would die as a hunting trophy. I guess they got a brave death gifted by the earth. Humans would have ruined and destroyed the species if they were to be brought back again. What ended is ended. I guess this species should remain peacefully as something that existed and walked on earth long ago.
When humans are selfish enough to let their own species die, why bring another back and watch it suffer again?
