Nadia is an entrepreneur, open-source enthusiast, and DevRel expert. Currently serving as the COO of SegmentFault, China's largest developer Q&A community, and co-founder of Answer, an open-source Q&A platform software.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Nadia is a dedicated contributor to open-source organizations, including the China Computer Federation (CCF), China Institute of Communications (CIC), and KAIYUANSHE. She plays an instrumental role in organizing and volunteering for various open-source events, such as ApacheCon Asia, OpenInfra Days China, etc. Nadia is also the co-founder and conference chair of OSPO Summit and Dev.Together China Summit.
About Nadia's talk
Tell us about the talk that you are planning to give at DevRelCon London 2023
I'm really excited to be giving a lightning talk at DevRelCon London 2023. Over the past two years, the company I co-founded, SegmentFault, has become China's largest developer community, and our open source Q&A platform software, which we released last year, has been blowing up and trending on GitHub.
We've also been helping big players such as Microsoft, Amazon and Google build their developer ecosystems in China. I've gained a lot of experience in this area, especially when it comes to building strong developer relations in China, so I'm excited to share my insights and practices with you at the conference.
Why should people attend your talk? What should they expect to take away from it?
China has been recognised as a market with great potential, and I believe my experience could help people understand how to engage with the developer community in China.
But, that's not all. I'm also going to dive into our approach to community and open source, and how to build strong relationships with developers when a small startup with limited resources. This isn't just about China. Hopefully, my talk will give everyone some fresh ideas to play with.
What are you most looking forward to at this year's DevRelCon London event?
It's really exciting that DevRelCon is finally coming back to its hometown of London, after four years. Over the last few years, I've been in China, and almost all of my business partners are there too. I have a deep understanding of the Chinese market, and how to do DevRel there. However, I don't have much experience with the European or American markets, and so I'm looking forward to learning new stuff, meeting cool people, and starting a brand new chapter in the UK.
As we all know, DevRelCon is the biggest DevRel event in the world, and it is super diverse. You'll hear from the best of the best in the industry, and pick up some sweet tricks and tips. With the rise of AI, more and more companies are thinking about DevRel strategies. I'm sure this conference will be super valuable for everyone who is there.
