For a writer, the perfect dream entails a publication spanning globally, admired dearly. A couple of years back, had I been told I was to make a contribution to a renowned magazine branching internationally, with an inception dated back in 1987 (yes, around 36 years in age and still counting), I would have contemplated endlessly. A magazine that prides itself on its subscribers including Visa, Verizon, PayPal, Oracle, Pinterest, Tripadvisor, and PlayStation, I feel honoured to be a part of the June edition. Yes folks, an industry that feels like a secluded kingdom embodying unravelled treasure, localization deserves a standing ovation. In the words of MultiLingual magazine, "Localization may be the global community's most obvious secret. It, or its attempts, are all around us — in our user manuals, on our websites, in our software, on our menus. To call it translation is short-selling it." Words to explore further. With that, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team for being gracious in publishing my article. I feel blessed to be recognized and appreciated as a writer — a privilege to educate, inspire and change lives for the better through the power of written words.
Dare to dream, or better yet, dare to try.
