Un décideur informatique sur deux doute que son infrastructure IT soit prête à intégrer des technologies d'IA, avance Equinix. Intéressant.
L'intégrer, voilà la question. L'enquête d'Equinix confirme que l'adoption de l'IA est en hausse dans tous les secteurs d'activité. 78 % des décideurs IT interrogés cherchent à bénéficier des avantages de l'IA, l'utilisent déjà ou prévoient de l'utiliser dans de multiples fonctions clés. Parmi les fonctions, l'expérience client (78 %), la cybersécurité (75 %) et les opérations de maintenance informatique (74 %) arrivent en tête des services les plus susceptibles d'utiliser l'IA.
En même temps, selon l'enquête Equinix 2023 Global Tech Trends Survey, 49 % des responsables IT en zone EMEA estiment que leur infrastructure n'est pas entièrement préparée à accueillir des technologies d'IA, malgré une adoption généralisée dans tous les secteurs. Soit un sur deux. C'est plus qu'en Asie-Pacifique (44 %) et nettement plus qu'en Amériques.
Des besoins en formation et collaboration
L'enquête Global Tech Trends Survey d'Equinix met également en évidence le besoin de formation et de collaboration. Objectif : permettre aux équipes IT d'optimiser le déploiement de cette infrastructure. Aujourd'hui, l'expertise en matière d'IA et de machine learning est recherchée par 29 % des entreprises.
« Un développement réussi des technologies d'IA dépend de la capacité des équipes à maîtriser et améliorer ces nouveaux outils. Aujourd'hui, près de quatre responsables IT sur dix admettent qu'un manque de connaissances internes les dissuade d'adopter une nouvelle technologie, commente Régis Castagné, Managing Director, Equinix France. A ce titre, nous sommes convaincus que l'éducation devrait être la première des priorités pour les entreprises qui souhaitent se lancer dans la création de leurs propres solutions d'IA générative.
Former… pour mieux intégrer
Et de conseiller aux leaders technologiques d'envisager de mettre en œuvre des solutions hybrides. Formation et gestion des modèles d'IA peuvent avoir lieu à différents endroits. Objectif : améliorer les performances, la confidentialité et les coûts.
Par ailleurs, l'étude montre qu'un nombre croissant de responsables IT prennent également en compte l'impact environnemental de leur infrastructure. Ainsi, près des trois quarts des répondants reconnaissent que leurs clients souhaitent connaître les mesures prises pour réduire l'empreinte carbone. Et 70 % estiment que le développement durable est désormais l'un des principaux moteurs de l'entreprise.
