Sunrises are beautiful
The more I'm here, the more I love it here. Yes, even the weather. And these sunrises and sunsets are beautiful, even when the water is a little murky.
The fishing is amazing here. So good that "bad days" would be good days in South Bay Los Angeles. And "junk fish" here would be target species. (Of course I love eating the catfish, though filleting them is a bit of an effort.)
The whole vibe is very relaxing and friendly. No it's not perfect. No place is. But it feels like home.
Today was a good morning on the beach. Caught a good sized hard tail, a decent catfish and a whiting. Threw back some catfish and a small shark. All that and chilling on the beautiful beach.
This is a really great father-son trip. Every trip here is a great trip. I'm getting a tan, the BS is melting away.
It's been a tiring trip. Getting up early, fishing twice a day. And it's still relaxing and energizing.
I'm getting tired of the hotel. Not anything particular about this hotel, but the hotel life. We have a lot of things to make it better, but it's still a hotel.
And yet a house I have a mortgage on is right here. I can't stay in it, I can't even park my car there, and the place I'm having to park the car is not ideal. It's even difficult to load and unload the stuff out of storage at the house.
I want to be in my house, make it a home. Pensacola feels like home, but my living arrangement isn't. I think it's time to move into the house, try to make it work.
It's not the most affordable strategy, but I need to follow my heart. Everything works out when I do that.
