Psalms 91:1-2 – "Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord : He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him."
I wonder if you are actually old enough to remember the fortune telling 8 ball that we would shake and then turn over to get an answer to our questions? It was rather mystical and similar to the concept of a ouija board. But it was a lot easier because you just shook it and turned it over to see the answer to your question.
Many look for ways to hear the right answers to the issues of life on a daily basis. It would be great if God would give us each a ball that we could shake and turn over to see an answer to all of our life's questions.
We all know there is no real fortune telling eight ball. But at the same time, it is important to know there is a connection with God that provides us as believers the answers to every life question. It is the Bible, and the Holy Spirit that connects us to God's answers.
The reality is that God is not hiding His guidance and direction from us. He has provided us the Scripture to look to on a daily basis to direct our paths. He has provided us the Holy Spirit who will direct our every step. For most of us, it is just a matter of paying attention.
Although God does not write it in the sky or leave us a note in the morning underneath our pillow, He does speak to our hearts. The question is, are you listening? Are you communicating with God about your life in meditation in His Word?
Today, set aside time to spend a minimum of 15 minutes in your Bible and your prayer time with God.
