Happy Father's Day if you celebrate it! I hope you had a good day. Hunter was down this weekend and we had a great time. I got the giggles and laughed so much my whole body is sore.
Speaking of laughing, the "John Dies At The End" books by Jason Pargin are fantastic. They are horror-comedy and had me in hysterics several times. I got the first one for Hunter and he loved it too. He just started the second. I did a reread of the first and am about to start the second again after I finish Ronald Malfi's "Black Mouth". I'll finish that one up tonight. The second book in the John Dies series is called "This Book Is Full Of Spiders - Seriously Dude, Don't Open It'. The third is called "What The Hell Did I Just Read". The fourth came out recently and I have yet to read that one. I'll read it when I finish my re-read. So if you haven't read them yet you should.
My shop sales were way down so I've been doing a lot of work on them lately. Unfortunately that's been sucking up my time, but I have to make a living. As a result, I have not been getting much writing done. I'm trying to correct that now. I just finished a poem and was going through market listings tonight. I had part of another poem written and I lost it when my pc decided to do middle of the night updates. I don't know why. It should have at least saved part of it but nope. So I'm trying to reconstruct that one but I've really kind of lost the thread.
How long do you wait before withdrawing a piece? I have some that have been out for 5-6 months and I've had no response to follow up queries. I hate to withdraw them but at this point I have to wonder if they decided to pass and didn't bother sending out notices.
I'm trying to get work done around the house too. I've tried several times to hire a handyman without any luck. So a random guy offered to do the stuff and is supposed to be here tomorrow but I'm wondering if I should cancel. I worry about it being done correctly. I hired some random dude to do my doors before and he butchered them. I'm trying to save money but if it's a mess that's not going to help.
I am trying to get back into regular updates. Please bear with me.
