Psalms 23:3 – He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His name.
I think if I lined up a hundred Christians and I were to ask them, "Do you believe this scripture is true?" I bet you at least 99% of them would say, "Absolutely." But at the same time, if I were to ask them, "Yesterday, can you give me an example of how God guided you along the right path with the right decision that led to the right outcome?" I'm afraid that few would be able to give me a specific example from yesterday or even in the past week.
I think that most of us just believe that God is working behind the scenes. Almost as a hidden force. But this is far from the truth. Because if you will look at this particular scripture, it talks about a declaration that God guides us along the right paths so as to bring glory to His name.
How does it bring glory to His name if we don't even recognize His force and hand working in our day? Because it is when we see the results of God's work and recognize it as such that we can share that with the people around us. That is what brings glory to God's name.
It is, as I have described on many occasions to others, that the worst thing that could happen is that God were to heal you miraculously and then you hide it under a bushel. You don't share it with anybody, you don't declare it to the world because you're afraid maybe you're mistaken. Maybe it was just a natural thing that occurred. It wasn't a miracle. But so is every day in our life with God's hand at work. It is always a miracle.
Today, open your eyes, open your soul, and see the greatness of God guiding your day. And then as things occur, be quick to share it with everyone around you. It is only then that in His guidance, you bring Him glory through your declaration to everyone who needs to hear. That is sharing the Good News!!
