Opposition leader Allen Chastanet has extended condolences after the death of 'esteemed' former Agriculture Minister and Parliamentary Representative for Anse La Raye-Canaries, Ira D'Auvergne.
Writing on Facebook, Chastanet said the immeasurable contributions D'Auvergne made to the agricultural sector will forever remain an indelible mark of his legacy.
"His unwavering dedication to improving the livelihoods of farmers and promoting sustainable practices will continue to inspire future generations," the former Prime Minister observed.
According to Chastanet, D'Auvergne was widely known for his compassionate and benevolent nature and exceptional professional achievements.
He recalled that the former Minister was a mentor, confidant, and dear friend to numerous individuals, always extending a helping hand and providing invaluable guidance.
" His genuine care for others and unwavering commitment to public service exemplified his extraordinary character," Chastanet stated.
