When love endures and survives time and space

Looking at that big smile and sparkles in your eyes
I feel and sense the Love that you are bringing in.
Even though this picture was taken years ago
Your essence is still to be found and felt as well.
Wondering about connecting with someone else
Through just the medium of a laptop across the world
You couldn't imagine that this is exactly,
What is happening now between 2 different realities?
We are still communicating through the ether
As well, the love that connects us so profoundly.
You are in a different dimension, so to speak,
Yet the veil is thin and it gets easier to speak and listen
To the words and sense of your love in my reality.
If we can channel an angel, or spiritual guide for that matter,
It is possible as well to communicate with a loved one.
It may be depending on their soul's mission as well
The way they have to learn and heal what might
Have been wounded and need to be acknowledged.
It is part of our journey we travel as souls, each in our own way.
You and I knew the moment we met this lifetime
We had been waiting for each other,
As sure as we were that we were meant to be.
Didn't want to waste our time in order to become a couple
For a lifetime commitment and all that would come with it.
How little did we know that we would go on an adventure
That would bring us situations and challenges which
Required a lot of love, commitment, and determination.
Our life has been like a roller coaster with challenges
At every turn, it took unexpectedly at times as well.
As challenging as it was and not an easy stroll in the park,
I could have not chosen a better partner in my life.
Who was not only challenging me to be the best I could be,
Also was the wind beneath my wings and my rock to stand on.
For that, I am ever so grateful and proud to have your love
For now as well, for the rest of my life.
I feel the energy through the material imprint of a picture,
The support and love that is shining in your eyes.
We are on our own journey, yet still connected
Following our soul's missions still, which hasn't changed.
I am creating my own rock to stand on as well.
Making sure, I have wind beneath my wings in order to fly.
And I got you to back me up because love endures
And survives time and space in a blink of an eye.
And so, it will be.
