L'IA pour nos sortir des incertitudes actuelles ? Les perturbations mondiales et la volatilité économique ne vont pas ralentir, s'accordent les économistes. Entre-temps, nous sommes tous connectés, mais cette transformation numérique s'accompagne également d'une multitude de nouveaux défis.
La moitié des entreprises belges pas prêtes à affronter les bouleversements à venir
« Malgré le climat d'incertitude dans lequel nous vivons, les défis pour les entreprises restent les mêmes : augmenter le chiffre d'affaires, travailler plus efficacement avec les ressources disponibles et répondre au mieux aux attentes des clients », constate encore Brian Harris. Aujourdhui, plus de la moitié des entreprises belges ne sont pas prêtes à affronter les bouleversements à venir. Un sondage réalisé par SAS auprès de chefs d'entreprise montre que 51 % d'entre eux se disent insuffisamment préparés. Quelque 73 % d'entre eux estiment que l'obsolescence des technologies est le principal obstacle et qu'ils risquent par conséquent de prendre du retard.
En même temps, 93 % des personnes interrogées dans le cadre de l'étude estiment que les données et l'analyse sont des outils essentiels pour accroître leur résilience. « En libérant l'IA sur les processus d'entreprise, nous pouvons augmenter de manière significative notre productivité humaine et notre capacité de prise de décision. Vents contraires pour la reprise économique
La chaîne d'approvisionnement est un bel exemple. Elle est sous pression. En particulier depuis le début de la pandémie, l'offre et la demande ne sont plus en adéquation. Au niveau mondial, nous constatons que les réseaux de production sont perturbés, ce qui crée des vents contraires pour la reprise économique. Un problème peut rapidement affecter un grand nombre d'acteurs de la chaîne. « Pour mieux comprendre les risques systémiques, nous devons leur appliquer l'IA, assure Brian Harris. Ce n'est qu'à cette condition que nous pourrons optimiser notre chaîne d'approvisionnement et la rendre résistante aux perturbations. »
Idem pour l'incertitude financière. L'inflation a atteint son niveau le plus élevé depuis le début des années 1980. Il n'est donc pas surprenant que de nombreuses entreprises examinent de près leurs dépenses et réévaluent leurs priorités. « Sur le plan technologique, par exemple, nous voyons des organisations s'inquiéter du coût de leurs investissements dans l'informatique dématérialisée. Là encore, l'IA peut aider à maîtriser les coûts et à investir dans les bons besoins. »
Autre défi, les initiatives ESG. Elles se concentrent donc sur des facteurs aussi divers que la consommation d'énergie, la santé, la sécurité et la bonne gouvernance. « Plus que jamais, les organisations doivent trouver un équilibre entre la rentabilité et le bienfait pour la société. Une stratégie solide en matière d'intelligence artificielle montre ce sur quoi une entreprise doit se concentrer. »
L'IA, une perturbation en elle-même
Le plus grand changement depuis la pandémie réside peut-être dans le fait que les gens peuvent aujourd'hui travailler de n'importe où. Le travail à domicile est devenu monnaie courante dans de nombreux endroits. Cette nouvelle façon de travailler n'est pas seulement une bonne chose pour les employés, elle offre également des opportunités aux organisations qui n'ont plus à tenir compte des frontières nationales. Les talents peuvent même travailler pour une entreprise située à l'autre bout du monde. Après tout, numériquement, tout le monde est à la même distance.
Enfin, la technologie de l'intelligence artificielle elle-même est également une perturbation que nous devons prendre en compte, conseille Brian Harris. En effet, si nous voulons relever les défis susmentionnés à l'aide de la technologie, nous devons le faire de manière responsable. « L'adoption de l'IA ne fera qu'augmenter au cours de la prochaine décennie. Les entreprises technologiques doivent donc prendre leurs responsabilités et aider leurs clients à comprendre le pouvoir de l'IA afin qu'ils élaborent les bonnes stratégies et qu'ils aient un impact positif sur la société. »
