A day in Matunga, where I strolled through the streets capturing the florists, the locals, colleges, book stalls and had an ad shoot for the match which was held on 9th April between CSK and MI. Even visited few temples and famous flyover garden here as well.
The flower market in Matunga is a landmark for many people in the city, especially around Ganesh Chaturthi, despite its shifting topography. Here, which is famed for having elaborately decorated Ganesh pandals and flower garlands, you may witness some of the biggest examples of both.

Cafe Madras - Matunga
Since Matunga is primarily a TamBrahm suburb, it's a perfect spot to get romba South Indian supplies. You can also obtain South Indian food from Udipis, which were established decades ago but are still going strong. The region also contains Irani cafes, killer chaat, and pav bhaji because the Dadar Parsi Colony stretches into Matunga. Additionally, several of Mumbai's top educational institutions are located there.

Now that we've put forward that Mumbai and jugaad go hand in hand, let's proceed to the city's first under-flyover garden. Our public spaces have finally profited from this jugaad thanks to Matunga's first under-flyover garden in Mumbai. So I went on a photowalk to investigate the news and determine whether there was actually a safe place to exercise while avoiding the traffic and autos.

The Asthika Samaj – Kochu Guruvayoor and Sree Ram Mandir
Finally, it's time to visit Matunga's South Indian roots.

The South Indian Bhajana Samaj
As it is said to be a cute little residential neighbourhood, but it still retains the charm of a place where South Indians once lived. Because of this, there are still several fantastic eateries serving delectable idli and dosa, and you can also keep an eye towards some of the most significant shrines in this area. The Asthika Samaj, Kochu Guruvayoor Temple, Sri Sankara Matham, Kanyaka Parameshwari Temple.

Sri Sankara Mattham
And more of Matunga's most important and historic temples will be visited as we travel.
