as i dash –
through dots of autumn
leaves kicking gold i experience
something i cannot touch ( it isn't frost – yet )
i bend half in half to hear
something near perhaps ( below ground ? )
itching to be found -- like a ballerina
i turn to tell you -- shhhh – listen
reach for the hand i almost feel the warm of your fingers
as real as
the sun breaks leaves in fragments
something fragile in the moment
bathes me in wealth
as real as
your absence
my breath becomes
something else ( precious – yet )
blossoms in to winter
flowers ( hesperanthas ? )
slowing my pace
'til turning
on a dime
i mistletoe my way home

NapoWriMo day 25 prompt:-
Begin by reading e e cummings' poem [somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond]. This is a pretty classic love poem, so well-known that it has spawned at least one silly meme. Today's prompt challenges you to also write a love poem, one that names at least one flower, contains one parenthetical statement, and in which at least some lines break in unusual places.
